| Charlestown Regatta Week raises funds to benefit the people of the village of Charlestown, including the provision and maintenance of the children's equipment in the Regatta Playing Field, a Christmas lunch for the over-sixties, donations to local charities in the area as well as the annual Carols evening. Current plans are for the levelling of the Regatta Field which will enable the provision of a much-enhanced children's play area with good footpath access and for a Victorian-style bandstand to be built which will be in keeping with the Heritage status of the village. Plans have been drawn up but many permissions have to be granted, all of which cost money, before we can proceed, but with our hard work and the goodwill of others we hope to achieve our goals. | | | | Would you like to join our team?
